About us

The Pearl Foundation of Puget Sound was established in November of 1998. The organization is a community of dedicated men who provide support and guidance to teen age boys and girls that often have no positive male role model in their life.
We seek to expose young men to inspiring adult role models who look like them and understand their plight. Our mentors not only show them that somebody cares about them, but more importantly we set expectations for them to make something out of their life. We also strive to connect kids to other community programs that cultivate their interest in higher learning and introduces them to the infinite possibilities of career choices available in their future.
OUR VISION
It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.
- Frederick Douglass

OUR MISSION
Foster self-confidence, leadership skills, and positive decision making in under-served population of young men and women, especially young men of color. Provide financial assistance through our scholarship program and connect kids with industry to develop and nurture their professional interest .
