The Pearl Foundation of Puget Sound

 MISSION

Our mission is to foster self-confidence, leadership, and positive decision making skills in the under-served population of young men and women in the Puget Sound communities. We provide financial assistance through our scholarship program and connect them with industry experts to develop and nurture their professional interest.

VISION

Our vision is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for at-risk youth to foster strength and resilience, so that they may reach their full potential and become productive members of their communities.

OUR STORY

The Pearl Foundation of Puget Sound is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization.  It was established in November of 1998 by the members of Delta Pi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated for the sole purpose of providing support and guidance to youth in the puget sound communities that often lack positive role models in their life.

We seek to  expose young men and women to inspiring adult role models who share similar life experiences and understand their plight.  Our mentors not only show them that somebody cares about them, but more importantly we set expectations for transforming the individuals into effective community members and  leaders. Believing that children need opportunities through which they can learn and grow, we strive to connect individuals to other community programs that cultivate their interest in higher learning and introduce them to the infinite possibilities of career choices available in their future. It is our goal to help youth overcome their limitations and break the barrier of life challenges. 

Pearl Foundation has helped organizations that serve children, families, and communities, with a specific focus on youth education.  Pearl foundation has also provided assistance to similar organizations since 2001.
